FENI, Dec 25: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday stressed the need for working together to stamp out militancy as the country may face more militant attacks.

“We’ll have to root out militancy together from the country under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership. Awami League has been able to control militancy. We’ve already succeeded in drives against militants,” said Quader told reporters after a visit to Fatehpur overpass on Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

While responding to a question on NCC election, Quader said BNP always changes its stance as there is no unity among them and AL’s tone and tune are always the same as they are always united.

“It’s not a matter to us who is saying what about the election as we’ve presented a model election,” he added.
